Course Introduction

Sociology questions assumptions about the social world and attempts to show that such things as the family, gender relationships and race are socially constructed rather than naturally occurring. Our A level course will provide the student with various sociological theories and ask them to draw on their own experience and background knowledge, as well as what they learn in the course, to test their validity and accuracy.
