Course Introduction

Our Law course will give students a thorough understanding of how laws are created, administered and changed, and will provide a solid basis for further study if they wish to train to become a solicitor or barrister. It will also be invaluable if they simply wish to learn more about their legal rights in certain areas e.g. criminal law or tort. During the course students will learn how to analyse problem situations and then apply the appropriate substantive legal rules and principles. They will also gain an appreciation of the effects of laws and the legal system on the individual and society.
